freelens macros

freelens macros

Some quick macros shot last night with a inverted free-lensing technique (a 50mm unattached and inverted in front of the camera). Basically, your camera shoots without a lens on it and you focus manually by moving the camera and lens towards or away from the subject.

cool plant

cool plant

Another plant shot, I just think this plant is cool. The sharpness of the 5dMkII and an L lens is absurd.

rising sun

rising sun

Testing out my new lens, the Canon 70-200mm. You can appreciate the awesome sharpness and the lovely bokeh here. The "sun" is a light from the building in front of mine, had to compose it to be a better "test" picture :).

noir drop

Another shot with the iPhone, this one was processed with the apps: Noir and Instagram. It's amazing what you can do now with these small cameras.

mini cookie

Testing the Canon powershot s95 macro, very impressive. This is a mini chocolate chip cookie.

dog & david

dog & david

Met this buddy after parking on Piazzale Michelangelo, the sculpture in the background is a copy of Michelangelo's David (in bronze). This is where the original David use to be a long time ago.

Florence, Italy.

In honor of Steve Jobs 1955-2011, RIP.

About the shot: Ultra shallow DOP given by the "poor man's macro" technique.
