Some quick macros shot last night with a inverted free-lensing technique (a 50mm unattached and inverted in front of the camera). Basically, your camera shoots without a lens on it and you focus manually by moving the camera and lens towards or away from the subject.

This is Danilo, a parrot from a Barichara bed & breakfast called El Cogollo. Lovely place, should you visit sometime, I totally recommend it. Although it has a male name, it's a she.

Did a test shooting the stars with the 5d last night, in the middle of the city. Not bad, but doing it without a tripod is a pain in the ass, half a mm movement, and the shot is ruined. I placed the camera looking up on a small bag, not easy at all.
